Whew. We’ve made it through another heck of a week and officially reached the WEEKEND! 🙌

We’re getting on into the middle of August, but somebody forgot to tell this Georgia heat that summer is supposed to start winding down. 🥵☀️

I know plenty of y’all are already dreaming of cooler mornings, fall temps and—most importantly—FOOTBALL! 🏈🍂

So let’s start a little Friday debate…

Friday night lights or Saturday college football? 👀

Are you taking a hometown high school game under the lights, or are you planted in front of the TV on Saturday yelling at a bunch of college kids like the coach can hear you? 😂

And if you pick Saturday, you better tell us WHO you’re pulling for. Just remember—we still have to live together in this town after you answer. 🤣

The Runway on Liberty Fashion Show is a little over ONE WEEK away, and we are SUPER STOKED! 🤩 (Are we still allowed to say that? Because we’re saying it. 😂)

We’ve got a fantastic lineup of local models to reveal very soon 👀, a delicious brunch menu being curated by some of our local favorites, and a few more fun surprises in store!

And speaking of that menu… Peach Pit Cantina is debuting their BREAKFAST BURRITOS as part of our brunch! 🌯🍳 I had the very important job of taste-testing them last week, and let me tell you — delicious is an understatement. 🤤 Y’all are in for a treat!

Other than that… it’s Thursday in Downtown Waynesboro, the weekend is getting closer, and it’s going to be a GLORIOUS day.

Okay, yesterday y’all gave me some GOOD feedback… so let’s keep it going! 👀

It sounds like we probably have enough fall festivals in our area, and there may be some great opportunities to partner with folks already doing them well instead of adding another one.

So here’s today’s question:

What’s an event you’ve actually attended somewhere else and thought, “We NEED something like this in Waynesboro!”?

Big, small, quirky, family-friendly, food, music, arts—whatever it was, I want to hear about it!

It’s Tuesday morning and I have approximately 47 tabs open in my brain… and at least 12 of them are just squirrels running in circles. So, let’s liven things up today. Yall have been quiet… and that’s not normal. 🐿️😂

🍂 Fall Festival… should we do one? 👀
🎄 Christmas Parade + Mayor’s Christmas Tree Festival will be here before we know it.
🚜 Something for our farmers in January… hmmm.
🐶 Something involving BIRD DOGS in February… double hmmm. 👀
☘️ Shenanigans is only about 7 months away.
⛳ And Par 3 is basically right around the corner in event-planning years. 😂

AND because apparently my desk doesn’t have enough on it…

🎨 We’re looking at forming a Waynesboro Arts Council!

We’re still trying to hang on to summer around here, but I swear you can almost feel fall waiting in the wings. 🍁 Maybe it’s back-to-school, maybe it’s football season creeping closer, or maybe we’re all just ready for a morning that doesn’t feel like walking into an oven. 😂

Either way, Monday has rolled around AGAIN and time just keeps marching on…

Happy Wednesday, y'all! 🎉 We've officially made it halfway through the week!

I know yesterday was a BIG day for so many families. Some kiddos headed back to school for their first day, while others were off to Open House getting ready to start tomorrow. I hope everyone had an amazing day!

Now... can we talk about yesterday's post for a second? 🤨 The comment section was seriously lacking in the photo department! I KNOW y'all took pictures!

📸 Drop those first day of school and Open House photos in the comments! We want to see them all!

⭐️ Bonus points if you've got those classic before and after pictures... you know, the ones where they left the house looking all boujee with perfectly combed hair and matching outfits... then came home looking like, "Who done it?" 🤣 Those are always my favorite!

My two had the BEST first day back, and I'm so incredibly thankful for that. ❤️ Now let's see those smiling faces, backpacks, fresh haircuts, and maybe a few end-of-the-day exhausted expressions too!
