Tonight we hosted the 2026 STAR Student/Teacher Banquet. These students have the highest SAT for their senior class and they chose the teacher they felt was most impactful in their school career.

Thanks to Bob Mallard for having Craig Tatum VP of Mill Operations and Scott Bragg, Mill Manger of Clearwater Paper, Augusta. (Aka Federal Paper aka Continental Can) who knew they made the white paper board type product used for items such as food boxes at restaurants? They make the white paper product then businesses buy it and produce it to their specifications to put their company logo on. How cool!

Tonight we installed new officers and passed the gavel from club president Dominee Jackson Thomas to Steven Mathews.
Steven will be the 2025-2026 Exchange Club President.
2025 Club officers include:
Nell Mobley VP, Jennifer Posey- Secretary and Robert Parrish -Treasurer
Board members are: Richard Bailey, Thomas Clark, Bob Mallard, Rex Myers, Kevin Flakes and William Mizell (not pictured). A delicious low country boil was provided by Finely Seasoned Catering. Thank you Jennifer for our "special moment" awards and Rhonda Busby for conducting our ceremony.

Several members of Burke County High School's 1st esports team and their coaches were the program. Members on hand to discuss and display their gaming talents were: Coach Braddock, Jabari Johnson, Chase Marshall, Ethan Raborn, Ty Black, Jaylin Jackson and Coach Ruffin. This program is new to BCHS and has gained popularity at schools across the state.
