🍨 It’s SunDae! 🍒

Last Thursday, our Burke County seniors celebrated National Sundae Day with a sweet afternoon of creating their own delicious ice cream sundaes! From colorful sprinkles to chocolate syrup, everyone had fun choosing their favorite toppings—but the cherries were definitely the crowd favorite! 🍒🍦

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and tasty treats as everyone enjoyed making and eating their special sundaes together. Sweet moments like these make for wonderful memories!

🍭 Celebrating National Lollipop Day at Burke County Senior Center! 🍭
Today was filled with smiles, creativity, sweet treats, and wonderful memories as we made and colored lollipops and captured some special photos with our amazing seniors!

Our devotion centered on "The Sweetness of God's Faithfulness." We reflected on how a lollipop isn't meant to be rushed—it's enjoyed slowly, one moment at a time. In much the same way, the later seasons of life reveal the sweetness of God's love through wisdom, cherished memories, patience, and His unfailing faithfulness.

Together we remembered:
🍭 The stick reminds us that God's promises support us through every season.
🍭 The candy represents the many blessings He pours into our lives.
🍭 The different flavors remind us that every stage of life has its own purpose and beauty.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good." — Psalm 34:8

We also reflected on God's Word:
"They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green." — Psalm 92:12–15
"Gray hair is a crown of splendor." — Proverbs 16:31

Thank you to all of our wonderful seniors for sharing your stories, your wisdom, and your joy. Your lives are a beautiful testimony to God's faithfulness, and it was a blessing to celebrate National Lollipop Day together!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and father figures who have shared their wisdom, strength, love, and guidance throughout the years. Your stories, experiences, and dedication have helped shape families and communities for generations.
