Do you have any ideas for further enhancements to the fire hall? With the pavilion approximately half finished and a small budget surplus remaining, any community-focused additions can be implemented at no extra cost to the community.

Lillie Ruth Brewer with the Wayne County Election Commission will be answering questions on the changes that are happening this year with the elections.

Prospective Public Office Candidates Invitation: The Beech Creek Community Center and Fire Hall invites interested individuals seeking public office in Wayne County and Wayne County Voters to a meet and greet on February 21, 2026, 12:00 PM. During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss critical issues facing Wayne County. Located at 5775 Beech Creek Rd, Waynesboro. The event will offer refreshments, including hot dogs, nachos, cheese, chips, and beverages, for purchase to support the reconstruction of the community center and fire hall after the 2023 tornado. Donations are also appreciated. Please share so all candidates have a chance to participate.

To the beech creek community. Apologies if anyone misinterpreted a previous post announcing a candidate that was running for office. I take full blame because I tagged our fire hall and I probably should not of done that. No one there endorses anyone over another. They want a clean race and all the candidates are respectful of each other. The candidate was not aware of the post made.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: it has been a long and hard road but on our second try we finally were awarded a $80,000 grant for the Firehall and community center. There will be a pavilion built for the community to use and a children’s playground. The grant can only be used for certain things so that is why these two things were chosen. There was a state meeting that some members of the community attended. At that meeting we won a $1250 grant to add something to the outside facilities. Once again we can only use it for something to promote healthy living. So hopefully we can get things rolling again and get everything finished. Also as soon as everything is installed the community center will have multiple laptops that can be used by the members. These were also awarded to us by a grant to help the community. We are just waiting on software.
