Embrace your neighbors! Embrace Waynesboro - A Center for Community just gave out our last blanket for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. If you have extra blankets to share, drop them off at our 932 Fir Street office 9 am-1 pm Monday through Thursday. Thanks friends!

UPDATE

THANK YOU To our amazing community! We have been able to secure enough funds to take care of this family's need!

Good morning friends and neighbors. We have had a special request this morning. One of our Waynesboro neighbors has come to us in need of funding to help with the cremation of a family member. Their brother has passed on July 7, 2026 and is in the care of Reynolds funeral home. The funeral home can not proceed with the cremation until the bill is paid in full. The family lives on such limited income that they can not afford the cost of cremation for their loved one. We have acquired $800 of the $1500 charge. (Va Social Services has contributed their $500) We are asking our neighbors to help this family acquire the remaining $700 needed so they may have some closure. We would ask that the payments be made directly to the funeral home. Please message us and we will give the name of the deceased that will need to be given to the funeral home with payment. Thanks to all of you who are willing to help give this gamily some peace.

Sometimes it takes a village to feed a newborn: We are seeking local (Staunton-Augusta County-Waynesboro) resources for emergency supplies of breast milk. Please respond if you have milk you're willing to share this week or know of a resource to which we can connect. TIA village!
