Friends, we need your help! Well, our pollinators do!!!
We need to build a pollinator bed at our community garden to attract the butterflies, birds and bees that then help pollinate our vegetable gardens and help us grow food for our community. In order to do this we will need to haul in some top soil, compost, and other supplies! Then we will need to fill it with beautiful blooming plants!

We have listed the cost of this project below and are looking for sponsors and donations! Can you donate the cost of a scoop of soil, compost or mulch? Perhaps a donation to help cover some supplies? Do you have pollinator plants in your garden you would like to share?

We have a wonderful group of volunteers who are willing to install this for us in mid April. Please help us cover the cost of supplies! This will help increase our food production for our neighbors!!!

You may reply to this post or email us at [email protected] to pledge your help.

Let's grow a garden!

Items needed:

8 scoops of screened top soil ($50/scoop)

2 scoops of compost ($85/scoop)

W**d barrier. ($50)

3 scoops of Mulch ($50/scoop)

Shared perennials

A community garden in Waynesboro is looking for a volunteer to help it continue to provide fresh food to hungry neighbors.

Growing more than 5,500 pounds of food last year, Embrace Waynesboro is afraid that without some assistance, it may not be able to meet the needs of the community with its garden.

"We want to be able to grow the amount of food our neighbors need, but without a garden manager, we do not have the capacity to do that this year. We do not want to close the community garden.”

We’re looking for someone with vegetable gardening experience to help lead and grow something beautiful in our community!

This VOLUNTEER position requires 8–10 hours per week and includes:

• Developing a seasonal garden plan

• Working hands-on in the garden

• Coordinating and leading volunteers

• Planting, weeding, maintaining, and occasionally harvesting

• Caring for both raised beds and an in-ground garden

We operate as a pick-your-own garden, so harvesting isn’t always required — but the impact always is. 💚

Last year alone, we grew over 5,000 pounds of fresh vegetables to share with our neighbors!

If you love gardening and have a heart for community, we’d love to connect with you. 🌿✨
