Scouting Community Support: Meals for Thea Davey & Family

Dear Cradle of Liberty Council Family,

Our Scouting community recently lost an incredible father and supporter. Daniel Davey passed away after a brave, year-long battle with ALS. The Daveys had been a dedicated Scouting family for years in General Nash Pack and Troop 414, and their son, Jacob, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout—a testament to the strength, character, and leadership cultivated in their home.

While we cannot ease the profound grief that Thea, Jacob, and their family are feeling right now, we can live out our Scouting values by lifting one daily burden from their shoulders.
We are starting a food train to ensure they have warm, comforting meals as they navigate this difficult new normal. If you are able to prepare a meal, coordinate a delivery, or provide a gift card, your support would mean the world to them.

LANSDALE MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

After careful review and consideration, the difficult decision was made to cancel the parade portion of the Lansdale Memorial Day events due to weather conditions, though the 10am ceremony with still happen but is being moved indoors to Penndale Middle school. We would still like the scouts to help with carrying the American Flags inside for the opening ceremony.

Scouts will meet inside the front entrance in the foyer area. They would walk the flags inside along the outer aisle ways in the auditorium for the opening ceremony. Afterwards they will bring the flags back to the foyer area. They are then welcome to return to view the rest of the ceremony.

I will be there to help coordinate. Details are still being finalized but any questions, let me know.
