REV FEST 250, The Battle of White Plains, Westchester County's signature event commemorating America's 250th anniversary is happening at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is free. Visitors can explore authentic Revolutionary War encampments, meet hundreds of living history exhibitors, and enjoy artisan demonstrations, live music and local food trucks.

It is with heavy that we share the loss of Jonathan Murphy, a beloved member of the 2NJ family, who passed away on Friday after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jon was the best of men - with a character that left a lasting impression on everyone. He worked hard to provide for his family, doing whatever it took and as his health allowed. He was the first to jump in when anyone needed help…or anything else. The first down for any shenanigans we could cook up. The first to welcome in a new person or to check up on you if you “didn’t seem like yourself.”

Those in the hobby - whether you knew him well or only for a short time - know that he was its biggest cheerleader. His joy and enthusiasm were infectious, reminding us why we do what we do. He loved all of you & every minute of being out there with you.

Full details regarding memorial services will be shared as soon as final arrangements are confirmed.

🥖Food Shopping For An Army?
Soldiers were promised a daily food ration, but supplying the Army with foodstuff was a constant struggle. Talk with the man responsible for it all - George Washington’s Commissary General Colonel Charles Stewart.

The 2nd New Jersey Regiment is excited to present this new program:

- Minimal noise, with musket fire only once at 4:00pm
- Quiet spaces for anyone needing a break
- Blacksmith demonstrations
- Joining the army at the officer's tent
- Decipher messages from spies!
- Arming the army in the summer kitchen
- Clothing demonstrations - make and decorate your own tricorn hat.
- Cooking demonstrations

Costumed reenactors will be answering questions and making history come to life!

Step back into 1780 with the 2nd New Jersey Regiment! Meet reenactors in period clothing and learn about daily life during the Revolutionary War through hands-on demonstrations, open-fire cooking, and military drills.

This sensory-friendly program offers smaller demonstrations, no sudden loud noises, and a quieter, more flexible experience.
