Wayne Community Schools Foundation WCS Foundation supports “Learning for Life” by working with the school district, alumni, and the community to provide financial support for students.

The purpose of the Wayne Community Schools Foundation is to solicit, manage, and distribute supplemental funds for educational purposes that may not be funded by the District. Funding is supplemental and does not replace or alter use of tax-based revenue. The Wayne Community Schools Foundation also exists to enhance the interaction of Wayne Community Schools’ alumni and friends with the school district.

We want to take second to brag about an awesome group of people who partner with our Foundation.

The Kevin J Murray Memorial Fishing Tournament has brought in over $232,000 over its 22 years. This year's tournament just concluded and it was a HOOT! Even if you're not a fisherman, we strongly recommend attending the dinner and raffle at CJ's At The Lake. The six tables and pool table were overflowing with generous raffle contributions. If you attended, contributed, fished, or helped this weekend, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It really was a fun Saturday!

Honors Night was held on April 29th. Scholarship recipients were announced for the class of 2026. The Wayne Community Schools Foundation has multiple scholarships that have been given in the memory of a family member who has passed away. In addition to these scholarships the Foundation also provides businesses and individuals the opportunity to award scholarships on an annual basis. A total of $32,300 to 27 individuals were awarded. Congratulations to awardees and Thank You to all scholarship sponsors and families for making these scholarships possible.
