What an incredible afternoon at our Lunch & Share Event, Create a Strategy to Cure Your Overwhelm Culprit™ presented by Corrie LoGiudice at Triple Crown Restaurant at The Radnor Hotel We were thrilled to welcome so many inspiring business leaders for learning, connection, and meaningful conversation.💡

SPW Executive Director Vibha Agrawal opened the program by reflecting on SPW’s mission to advance equity, strengthen the business community, and support local nonprofits, while highlighting this year’s impact — from our sold-out Women’s History Month event to our volunteer day with Variety - the Children's Charity of the Delaware Valley and upcoming Radnor Middle School mentorship. 🌎

Our featured presentation, “Create a Strategy to Cure Your Overwhelm Culprit™,” led by Corrie LoGiudice, gave attendees practical tools to identify the root causes of overwhelm and create actionable strategies for growth. Corrie’s honesty, vulnerability, and framework around the 5 C’s — Clarity, Confidence, Community, Conditioning, and Consistency — sparked thoughtful discussion and meaningful takeaways throughout the room.

Corrie reminded attendees that overwhelm is not a negative sign, but rather a signal that something in our current strategy needs to adapt to our current reality. Through interactive exercises and table discussions, attendees identified their personal culprits, reflected on key areas of wellbeing and accountability, and shared their insights with the room to create strategies they could apply in their professional and personal lives.

A key takeaway was the power of small, consistent action and recognizing that real progress happens one intentional step at a time. We also celebrated the release of Corrie’s new book, The 5 Overwhelm Culprits: How to Reclaim Your Power, Rewrite Your Story and Lead an Extraordinary Life. ✨

Thank you to Tania Sherrill of our Champion Sponsor, Firstrust Bank, for sharing remarks and stepping into her new role as Chair of the SPW Advisory Council. Also thank you to Jill Ruggiero from UnitedHealthcare and SPW Advisory Council member for welcoming attendees and introducing our featured speaker.

We’re also excited for what’s ahead! Join us on July 22 for our Summer Special Workshop & Happy Hour, “Let’s Not Make This Awkward – The Art of Professional Networking,” featuring Sean Hand at Radnor Valley Country Club. ☀️

There’s something really special about seeing a community show up—not just to lead, but to give back. The Society of Professional Women hosted our very first community service day, and it was everything we hoped it would be.

In honor of Earth Day and National Volunteer Week, 30 leaders from our SPW community came together at Variety - the Children's Charity of the Delaware Valley to spend the afternoon outdoors, getting our hands a little dirty for a good cause.

We were worried about the rain—but somehow, right on cue, the skies cleared and the sun came out. Together, we rolled up our sleeves to w**d and clean the grounds, prepare garden areas for spring planting and create plant labels for Variety’s upcoming flower sale. We learnt how to assemble flower and vegetable beds that are accessible to people with all abilities.

And somewhere in between all of that, something else happened. We slowed down. We talked. We laughed. We learned more about each other— in a more human, real way. There’s something about working side by side, hands in the ground, that creates a different kind of connection. What made the day stand out wasn’t just the volunteering itself, but that feeling of being part of something collective. A group of busy leaders choosing to pause, show up, and contribute in a hands-on way—and leaving a little more connected than when we arrived.

We’re grateful to partner with Variety, whose mission to help children and young adults with disabilities build a thriving life is truly inspiring. It was an honor to play a small role in helping maintain and beautify their 77-acre campus. We were thrilled to present a check for $1,000, funded generously by The Foundation For Delaware County.

Thank you to all our sponsors who make this work possible and to all those who participated. SPW is proud to keep bringing our community together— to lead, share, learn, grow - and to make a positive impact in our communities.
