Rotary Club of Wayne 7450

The Rotary Cub of Wayne is a service organization that meets at the Bateman-Gallagher American Legion Post the second and fourth Thursday of the month.

We are a member of Rotary International. The Rotary Club of Wayne, Delaware County, PA is part of Rotary International. We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Our main goals through Rotary International are promoting peace, fighting disease; providing clean water,

sanitation, and hygiene; saving mothers and children, supporting education and growing local economies. We have over 35,000 clubs globally with over 1.2 million members. We sponsor local Rotary clubs on the high school and college level such as Archbishop Carroll H.S Interact Club, Radnor H.S. Interact Club and Cabrini University Rotaract Club. Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA had two students compete in the Rotary District 7450 4-Way Test Speech Contest preliminaries. One will be advancing to a future round. The Rotary Club of Wayne honored these two fine students and orators with a modest monetary gift for their efforts.

The week of March 10-14, 2025 the Archbishop Carroll Interact Club of the Rotary Club of Wayne put together 170 meals for Meals on Wheels. A great service project; a wonderful accomplishment. Thanks also to Rotarians Tom Quintois, advisor to the Interact Club and Kathy & John Douglas for their significant contributions to make this project happen.

On February 20, 2025, the Archbishop Carroll Interact Club of the Rotary Club of Wayne visited Wayne Center, a rehabilitation and convalescent facility, in Wayne, PA to deliver needed items for their residents. Tom Quintois and Linda Calio Madden, Wayne Rotarians, are pictured with the young ladies from Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA.

On December 10, 2024, the Rotary Club of Wayne along with guests from the Rotary Club of Paoli-Malvern-Berwyn celebrated our traditional holiday dinner honoring CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Delaware and Chester Counties.
Ashleigh McCarron, Manager of Advocate Engagement at CASA Youth Advocates, was our guest speaker. She spoke about CASA's accomplishments over the past year and fielded questions. We collected toys and games for the children to whom they administer. Monetary gifts were also presented to Ms. McCarron. The dinner was held at Margaret Kuo's Kitchen at the Promenade at Granite Run in Media.

On November 7th at St. Katherine of Siena Roman Catholic parochial school the Rotary Club of Wayne with the assistance of their Interact Club at Archbishop Carroll High School prepared 200 casseroles for homeless, single mothers at Mercy Hospice. On November 14th, at Wayne Senior Center the Rotary Club of Wayne with the assistance of their Interact Club at Archbishop Carroll High School served Thanksgiving lunch to 50 senior citizens. We also presented a $300.00 check to the Wayne Senior Center.
