Wayne County Convention and Visitors Bureau Wayne County offers a variety of festivals and activities that celebrate our pioneering culture and The cost of membership for five dollars for 2012.

The purpose of the CVB is to:

Identify and develop community resources for tourism
Enhance communication among those community groups conducting tourist development activities. Coordinate activities designed to promote tourism
Invigorate the economy of Wayne County through developing tourist potential
Publicize tourism activities

Hi Fair Friends! We're going to try something new this year. We want to see who can bring us some great talent. If you're a solo singer, band, stand-up comedian, magician, or have any other talent you think our audience needs to see, August 5th is your chance to shine! We will be hosting The Wayne County Fair Open Mic Challenge from 1:00 pm til 3:30 pm. We want to see your 'best stuff.; This IS a family event, so we must require that your act be suitable for families, and cannot contain offensive material. Prize money will be announced on Wednesday, July 12. To participate, please email us at [email protected] and we'll get back with you!

Save the Date! The Open Horse Show is scheduled for Saturday July 29 at the Horse Show Arena just north of Wayne. Don't forget: Kids' Days start next Wednesday, June 7! Admission is $5 all ages thanks to HIMG. We'll have museums, a petting zoo, wagon rides, a playground, children's activity center, artisans, and our MakerSpace.

There will also be Storytelling, Face Painting, a special West Virginia exhibit (for our June theme of Celebrating West Virginia!) as well as a visit from a hot air balloon! The first 100 children that attend will also receive a small take-home bag. Don't miss it!
