Recently Vincent House was interviewed on the Abode Contemplative Care for the Dying Podcast, in a series where Omega homes were chosen from all over the country to be spotlighted around the unique work they do in each community! Serving upstate New York's Finger Lakes region since 2000, Vincent House provides compassionate, cost-free comfort care for individuals with a prognosis of three months or less.

Jackie shares the home’s unique origins—from community members purchasing a vacant Catholic convent for just one dollar to becoming an essential refuge in a rural resource drought. She discusses how a deeply committed, intergenerational volunteer base powers their daily resident care, the creative and intuitive therapies they incorporate, and why honoring each person’s unique life story transforms end-of-life care into a celebration of humanity.

That is why we emphasize that Vincent House has three additional upstairs bedrooms available for family members, ensuring they can remain close to their loved one, with no shame attached.

Cultural differences should never become barriers to compassionate care. By embracing and honoring those differences, we can provide the highest standard of end-of-life support to every individual and family we serve.

Last night our Director Jackie joined the staff of CareFirstNY to support Bampa's House - Corning Comfort Care, Inc. for their annual night with Bampas. A great evening supporting our community partners!

Bottle & Can Retrieval Center at 22 Ossian St. in Dansville will take in your bottles and cans and forward the money to Vincent House - all you have to do is drop them off!

Thank you to Benjamin Tree Care and Firewood Inc ! You can see in the pictures that Vincent House got a much needed facelift by removing the half rotted out tree from our side yard.

They not only removed the tree, but ground the stump, trimmed the apple tree in the side yard, and cleaned up the mess so you can't even tell they were there. If you're in need of a tree removal company, Benjamin Tree Care knows what they're doing!
