Wayland 12U Gray/Briggs picked up its second consecutive win with a 16-7 victory over Mt. Morris 12U!

After falling behind 5-0 early, Wayland battled back with a huge offensive performance and contributions throughout the lineup. Wyatt Canfield had a big day at the plate with two singles and a double. Nico Wheeler and Ryan Clark also added two singles. Lucas Patterson reached base consistently with three walks and a double. Lucas Hagadone chipped in a double, while Jayce Briggs added a single and drew multiple walks. Trenton Brown showed patience at the plate as well, reaching base three times on walks, once after being hit by a pitch.

Patterson got the start on the mound and worked through two innings before Canfield came on in relief and settled things down for 12U Gray. Canfield earned the win, striking out five batters over three strong innings of work while helping shift the momentum back in Wayland’s favor.

Wayland’s aggressive approach at the plate and steady relief pitching helped secure another strong team win as 12U Gray continues to build momentum.

The bottom of the lineup helped Benjamin Tree Care capture a 12-6 victory over 12U Letchworth Black on Thursday. Zachary D, Isiac C, and Calogero L combined for four of the team's seven hits in the victory. They scored four runs and drove in two.

12U Letchworth Black were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play.

In the bottom of the first inning, Benjamin Tree Care went back into the lead after Ben R walked, Abel B grounded out, Zachary walked, and Quintus G stole home, each scoring one run.

12U Letchworth Black tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a walk by William W, and a play.

Wayland 12U Gray/Briggs edged out Naples 12U in a thriller, 6-5, behind a dominant start from Ryan Clark and a complete team effort at the plate.

Clark was electric on the mound, racking up 13 strikeouts while allowing just two hits and two walks over 4 2/3 innings of work. Jayce Briggs came on in relief before Wyatt Canfield shut the door on a late Naples rally, recording the final two outs to secure the win.

At the plate, Clark added a single, while Lucas Patterson chipped in with a hit of his own. Nico Wheeler reached base twice with a pair of walks. Aaron Motzer was a spark plug offensively, going 1 for 1 with a single and two walks while swiping five bases and driving in three runs. Briggs also worked a walk and added an RBI.

Leading the charge offensively was 10U pull-up guest baller Noah Schumacher, who showed the 12U big dawgs how it’s done with a perfect 3 for 3 performance, collecting three singles and driving in three runs in a huge day at the plate.

Tucker C A Difficult Out As 12U Honeoye Bulldogs Defeat Wayland Maroon

Tucker C collected four hits in four at bats, as 12U Honeoye Bulldogs defeated Wayland Maroon 13-7 on Thursday. Tucker doubled in the second inning, doubled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

12U Honeoye Bulldogs jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Tommy C singled, scoring one run, Gavin C doubled, scoring two runs, and Asa R doubled, scoring two runs.

Benjamin Tree Care snatched the lead late in their 8-7 victory over 12U Gunlocke - Briggs on Tuesday. The game was tied at seven in the top of the fifth when Isiac C grounded out, scoring one run.

Benjamin Tree Care built a 4-run lead in the first inning and then held off 12U Gunlocke - Briggs's charge. 12U Gunlocke - Briggs closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a walk, a walk, a walk, a single, a single, and a steal of home.
