The fourth Birdies for Bucks Golf Classic presented by Memorial Satilla Health is in the books! Perfect weather, a full field, and the best volunteers around made this year’s event even better.

The Foundation recognized two individuals this morning, allowing them to hit a shot off the driving range to start the tournament.

Dr. Wade Dye is the son of the late Dr. James M. & Frances M. Dye. Dr. James Dye was the founding president of the former Waycross College and for whom the Foundation is named.

Mr. Bert Smith, retired superintendent of Ware County Schools, was a two-time national medalist in the 1990s for Waycross College’s golf team.

Pictures from AHA Photography will be posted to this page very soon.

Lastly, I could not even think about putting this tournament together without the creativity and support of Randy Yonz.

We are well on our way to bringing pickleball to SGSC’s Waycross Campus. I’d love to talk with you about how you can help us get across the finish line and make this dream a reality!
