We provide those patients/caregivers with essentials and other tools to help them through the treatment process.

Oh hey, that’s me!

On today’s Meet the Mission Monday, here’s a little introduction to me! I founded the Strong Like Ellie Foundation about a year and half ago after my daughter Ellie beat Leukemia.

I have two kids, Ellie and Rosie, and I love being a full time mom! I also love to bake, cook, sew, knit… basically any hobby I’m willing to try! In my spare time I enjoy working on the foundation where I can and I recognize how fortunate I am to be in a position where I can dedicate this kind of time to give back!

Getting to know the families and patients we’re helping is a huge bonus and I am always looking forward to filling more totes!

Donation Tracking Update!

So far we’re 34% to goal for this month. The month is halfway over today so I’m hoping we can make it to our goal by the end. You can donate by going straight to www.stronglikeellie.org/donate, or participate in the t-shirt/tote bag fundraiser that is live right now!

If you’re not able to give financially right now, sharing this post will help too! Just getting the word out about our foundation does a ton to help.

Ellie’s strength through her cancer journey helped inspire us to give back to local families here in Charlotte. Those kids and their families inspire us to continue to do this every day!

A little more info about donations and our comfort totes…

Every single dollar donated into our foundation goes directly to purchasing the items found inside each family’s comfort tote. So that means with every donation of…

💜 $10 - we can buy a bundle of small toiletries, like dry shampoo, chapstick, hand lotion, and tissues.

🧡 $25 - we can buy a drink tumbler and coffee gift card or an activity book, notebook, and pens.

💜 $50 - all small electronic accessories inside the tote. Extension cords, sound machine, and a pair of Childrens headphones.

🧡 $100 - a children’s tablet for the patient or an e-reader for the caregiver.

💜 $300 - this is the amount to provide EVERY SINGLE ITEM found in a comfort tote. And YOU can sponsor one (or more!) feel free to send us a DM to find out some more info!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 💛🎗️

For many people, September means back-to-school season, the beginning of fall, and pumpkin spice everything.

But for thousands of families, childhood cancer doesn’t pause when September begins.

This month, we wear GOLD for the children fighting cancer today.
We honor the heroes we’ve lost far too soon.
We celebrate the survivors.
And we stand beside the families who are navigating a world they never expected to enter.

At Strong Like Ellie, we know firsthand how overwhelming the childhood cancer journey can be. That’s why our mission is simple: to remind families that they are not alone.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing ways you can help raise awareness, support families, and make a difference for kids facing cancer. 💛

Because every child deserves more research.
Every family deserves more support.
And every story deserves to be heard.

Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, shared, liked, and followed along as we got back into the swing of things! 💜🧡

August was our first month back in action and with your help and support, we raised $1,000. That means so much not only for the foundation, but also for the families facing pediatric cancer. We’re most looking forward to making more comfort totes!

With August in our rearview, it’s time to start thinking about September, and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Can we double that $1,000 next month?! 🌟

💜 A little more comfort, made with a whole lot of love. 💜

We are SO excited to announce that Strong Like Ellie is partnering with our local Project Linus chapter! 🥹

Through this partnership, handmade blankets will be included in our Strong Like Ellie comfort totes for children facing pediatric cancer. 🧸✨

A hospital stay can be scary, unfamiliar, and overwhelming for a child. Our hope has always been to make those days just a little bit easier, and now these beautiful handmade blankets will give each child something soft, warm, and comforting to call their own.

Two organizations. One mission. More comfort for kids when they need it most. 💜

We are incredibly grateful to our local Project Linus volunteers for putting so much love into every blanket and for joining us in supporting pediatric cancer families.

Here’s to wrapping even more kids in comfort. 🥰🧡
