CAN we do it? ♻️YES we CAN!♻️ Please save your cans!!!! We want to recycle as many cans as we can and by doing so, raise a little money! Not only will this help keep things out of landfill, but will help us to continue raising some funds! If you drink soda/drink cans (ONLY)! please save them for us! We have a designated trash can for them!

Hey Misfits!!!

We've been working on something super cool!
And now- I am getting ready to launch the Mabel’s Misfits website with the new interactive portal and habitat community and we’re looking for people to join, check it out, and give us their honest opinion. Both kids and adults! We've called it the "Misfits explorer academy" and if successful, could make a HUGE impact!!

I need people to test it out and start accumulating data on wildlife sightings and sharing their wildlife habitats big or small etc so we at least have some basic data to show potential investors and for grant proposals. We need about 100 people to trial it for us, so the typical membership fee will be waived for you! It’ll be fun, interactive, inspiring and something you can do alone or with the family! It doesn't require a lot of time, just as and when!

If it's something you wouldn't mind checking out, just send me a good email address and I’ll send you the link in a few weeks once it launches! Don't worry- we won't be spamming you! 📧 💕

Who has Misfit pets that could eat peanut beetle larvae!?
I started a culture this summer and it's literally gone PEANUTS!!

These cultures are difficult and pricey to come by, often taking weeks to arrive! If anyone would like some for their small reptiles, fish or of course their jumping spiders- comment and I'll dm you!!!

Peanut beetle larvae (Ulomoides dermestoides) serve as a high-protein, easily digestible live micro-feeder food source for small pets like micro-geckos, dart frogs, jumping spiders, small fish, and praying mantises. Only the soft-bodied larvae should be fed, as adult beetles possess chemical defenses and unpalatable tastes.

I truly would appreciate, if you could share our fundraiser out!

I want, no wait... I neeeeeed Mabel's Misfits to be successful but just like many non-profits I have invested so much into this, mentally, emotionally and financially and for this dream to be impactful and successful I need YOUR support. If you can donate $0.50, that's 50 cents closer to my goal. If you cannot donate, that's ok! Sharing is just as helpful!!! Please consider sharing to friends, family and co workers! Not only does Mabel's Misfits benefit animals and nature but also people of all ages and abilities who are involved in volunteering or part of our ever growing community!

I thank you on behalf of all the animals in our care now and all those who are yet to come!
