NC-300 conducted physical training this week and celebrated the promotion of Lt Col Paul O'Brien. Next week is our Winter Cohort's Open House for interested people. Fly the United States Flags at Half-Staff Beginning Immediately Through Sunset on Tues, 28 Jan 2025, Honoring Former President Jimmy Carter

The United States flags should be flown at half-staff effective immediately until sunset on Tues, 28 Jan 2025, in honor of the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on 29 Dec 2024 in Plains, Georgia.

NC-300 wrapped up 2024 with PT, final glue for the bridge-building group, teambuilders, and the cadet change of command. Congratulations to C/Capt Cameron Gerry, the new cadet commander, and thank you to C/2d Lt Connor Woodman for leading the cadets for the past 6 months. See you all in the new year!

NC-300 met tonight for our annual STEM competition. Cadets learned about the forces on a body at launch and designed protection structures in their launch vehicle to help their "egg-stronaut" successfully launch from the pneumatic cannon. Prizes were awarded in 5 categories. What a blast!

NC-300 focused on character development this week with a lesson facilitated by 2d Lt Rob Ridgell on Propriety. Cadets enjoyed some flight time and we celebrated two milestone promotions, Cadet Crombez earned his Wright Brothers Award and Cadet Magner earned his Mitchell Award. Congratulations!

Cadets at NC-300 enjoyed Aerospace Education tonight. The cadets chose between two paths: learning to be a drone pilot and the bridge-building STEM kit. The bridge-building STEM kit has been a big hit with the cadets! Thanks to AEO and AEM Capt Andrea Owens for overseeing this fun learning adventure.

Last weekend was super busy with the squadron supporting the Warbirds Over Monroe airshow and Ranger Training Weekend (RTW). We appreciate the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for aviation and community service at the airshow! Members who attended RTW served, instructed, and furthered their emergency services training.

NC-300 met tonight for our Commander's Call where parents and members gathered to recount the year, hear the Commander's Intent, learn about financial aid opportunities, take the unit climate survey and meet with Academy representatives for West Point, USAFA and the Naval Academy. We also celebrated several promotions and our Cadet of the Quarter C/SrA Ben Herman.

NC-300 had a busy Tuesday. Cadets engaged in their character development forum led by Lt Col Krueger and also completed an hour of PT workout stations led by cadet and adult leadership. We concluded the meeting with several promotions including a Wright Brothers Award and recognition of one of our Senior Members who completed his instrument rating!

This was a 5th Tuesday month for NC-300, so we enjoyed an evening at Country Days teambuilding with a bonfire, nighttime corn maze, hayride and other fun activities.

NC-300 met tonight for Aerospace Education. We also celebrated our Fall Cohort Graduation with 20 new members completing their Great Start program and 17 promoting to their first stripe. The aerospace education groups for this month included the drone pilot group and the bridge building group. Congratulations to all our recent promotions. Remember, next week is the nighttime corn maze! Please RSVP in eServices Registration Zone. We also thanked Dr. Barry Ross for the hospitality he provided to our squadron in our previous meeting location.
