Three Plymouth High School students, Noelle Hutchings, Brice Hoover, and Zakary Kresser, traveled to North Carolina for the Phoenix Challenge competition. According to phoenixchallenge.org, “The 2 1/2 day competition includes five areas of rigorous testing: (1) operating a Flexo press, (2) prepress, (3) plate making, (4) written knowledge, and (5) Flexo math skills.” The team of Noelle Hutchings from Plymouth and Kiersten Cole from Knox placed 1st. The all-Plymouth team of Zak Kresser and Brice Hoover placed 7th. All 4 students earned their National Flexography certification, which has a value of $500. We are so proud of these teams!

Tres estudiantes de Plymouth High School, Noelle Hutchings, Brice Hoover y Zakary Kresser, viajaron a Carolina del Norte para la competencia Phoenix Challenge. Según phoenixchallenge.org, “La competencia de dos días y medio incluye cinco áreas de pruebas rigurosas: (1) operación de una prensa flexográfica, (2) preimpresión, (3) fabricación de planchas, (4) conocimiento escrito y (5) Habilidades matemáticas flexográficas”. El equipo formado por Noelle Hutchings de Plymouth y Kiersten Cole de Knox quedó en primer lugar. El equipo exclusivamente de Plymouth, formado por Zak Kresser y Brice Hoover, quedó séptimo. Los 4 estudiantes obtuvieron su certificación Nacional de Flexografía, la cual tiene un valor de $500. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de estos equipos!

The Phoenix Challenge is excited to be back in person soon!

-Our high school skills competition is fast approaching, March 22nd-24th at Central Piedmont Community College, Harper Campus.
-Our college competition date is April 15th, which aligns with the Annual FFTA Forum & Info-Flex in Columbus, Ohio.

We are all looking forward to the return of our students and the gathering of industry professionals!
