Our association does not exist without all of the dedicated families whom we truly cherish. We are humbled to call you our family and grateful for each of you.

This past week we had team playing in the Union County All Star Basketball Tournament. Please send a big congratulations to both our 15U Boys teams for taking 1st and 2nd place! And to our 10U Girls team for taking their Championship!!

Winter 2023 WXW Basketball UPDATE!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween and is ready for this cooler weather!

We are going to keep registration open until THIS SUNDAY Nov 5! For the rest of this week, there are no late fees, but they will be applied starting on Monday 6 Nov. The website has been updated to reflect this and will be updated with the schedule as soon as it is finalized. https://www.wxwathletics.org/wxwbasketball

Due to some scheduling conflicts (eg a Soccer Tournament!) we are moving evaluations to Nov 11. Please remember we strongly encourage all players to attend evaluations so we can keep our league competition as even and fair as possible. If you can not attend evaluations, your player will still be placed on a team!

As soon as I have confirmation of the times we have available on Saturday Nov 11, I will send out the evaluation schedule. I know the work bond has been a highly discussed topic, so if anyone is looking to knock out their commitment for that already, we will be needing a few volunteers to help keep things moving along at evaluations. Keep your eyes out for the evaluation schedule email in the next couple of days and that will have your info.

WAA Families! We are super excited to have our First Trunk or Treat for our WAA Athletes across all of our sports!

This Saturday, October 28th, 5:30-7:30pm at Western Union Elementary School. This event is being offered by Waxhaw Athletic Association & Cuthbertson Middle School Junior Beta Club.
