As we sat and reflected on Saturday’s Union County Preview, we were both struck by the same feeling: gratitude.

Saturday was a great day, but a day like this doesn’t happen because of one person or one group. It takes a tremendous number of people willing to give their time, energy, talents, and heart to make it happen.
We want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who played a part in making UCP such a wonderful event.

First, thank you to our school administration, athletics directorate team and school facilities staff for supporting this event and working alongside us to make it a success. A very special thank you goes to our Athletics Booster Club. You jumped in when we needed you, stayed flexible throughout the day, and made yourselves available to do whatever was needed. We truly value your partnership and appreciate everything you did to help make UCP possible.

Thank you to the members of our community who came out to support us, especially Capt. Day with the Wesley Chapel Fire Department, Austin with Union County EMS, along with our Union County Officers. Your presence and support meant so much and helped make the day safe for our students and our community.

To the Union County high school marching bands who joined us yesterday, thank you for bringing your incredibly talented students and allowing us to showcase the amazing things happening in band programs throughout our county. Hosting each of you was a privilege; we loved having you here.

It was also a hot day, and we want to recognize our announcer and judges, who spent the day in the heat watching these students perform. Thank you for sticking with us through the long, hot day and for giving our students your time, attention, and expertise.

Then there are the people who deserve the biggest thank you of all.

To our band directors and staff, thank you for the countless hours, expertise, preparation, and passion you pour into our students and this program. What you give these kids reaches far beyond a single performance or competition day. The impact you have on them will stay with them long after this season is over.

To our UCP committee and parent volunteers, thank you. So many of you have given countless hours, from months of planning and preparation to the many jobs that most people never see. You continue to pour your time, energy, and heart into this event, our program, and most importantly, our kids. UCP simply does not happen without you.

And finally, to our students: thank you for giving so much of yourselves. You are balancing school, family, jobs, sports, activities, and a long list of other commitments, yet you continue to show up, work hard, and give everything you have because you love what you do. Watching you perform yesterday reminded us exactly why all of this work is worth it.

Union County Preview was about students, families, educators, volunteers, community partners, and an entire community coming together to celebrate music and the incredible young people who make it!

Thank you for believing in these kids, believing in high school music programs and helping us create an event that we can all be proud of.

We've refreshed many of our spirit wear items to feature the current Marvin Ridge Bands logo.
Color Guard Signature Jacket Returns
By popular request, we're returning to our signature jacket design, creating one cohesive and unified look for every performer.

The new band jacket is truly out of this world! The updated Marvin Ridge Bands logo really pops, making this a piece you'll be proud to wear all season long.

Reminder:
Every registered student will receive this year's Operation Earthrise Show Shirt as part of their registration fee, so there is no need to purchase one separately.
Shop early to make sure you get your favorite items. There is a four week turnaround time. We can't wait to see our Marvin Ridge family proudly wearing this year's spirit wear as we launch an incredible season together!

When we first met Marv it was immediately clear how much he loved his grandson. The pride he had in Luke, and the way he supported Luke’s passion for music and marching band, was something special to witness. He also played a mean game of Farkle steal.

After Marv passed away earlier this spring, Monica thoughtfully made the incredibly generous decision to donate Marvs trailer to our booster program.

Thank you, Monica, for the kindness, generosity, and unwavering support you’ve shown our students and this program. Your decision to donate your father’s trailer is an extraordinary gift that will support our band family for many years.

But what means even more is the heart behind it. Even after her own student graduated, Monica has stayed committed to helping future band kids succeed. Her support continues to shape this program in ways that truly matter.

Your dedication, leadership, and willingness to give back have made a lasting impact, and we’re grateful to honor Marv’s memory in such a meaningful way.

And a special thank you to Tyler, who gladly added an extra three hours to an already 11-hour journey home to pick up the trailer from Northern Indiana. His willingness to make the additional trip and go the literal extra mile ensured this incredible gift made its way to our program, and we are grateful for his support and dedication.
