Hey, we are back with another myth vs fact and this one is so important for us to share because we never want a single woman to feel like she does not qualify for support!

MYTH: BRA is only for women who are divorced.

FACT: BRA supports divorced women, unexpectedly widowed women, and single never-married mothers age 26 and older.

The heart behind Believing Restoration is Attainable is simply this. No woman should have to walk through life's hardest seasons alone. Whether you lost a spouse unexpectedly, walked through a divorce, or have been raising your children on your own, we are here for you. We exist to walk alongside single moms through seasons of transition and to remind them that their lives can be restored and that the dreams they carried for themselves and their children are still very much attainable. Your story is not over. Not even close.

In Ellis County, Texas, there are women navigating divorce, widowhood, and the loss of a spouse — quietly, alone, and often without anyone to call. BRA exists because that's not okay.

Believing Restoration is Attainable is a nonprofit built on one belief: that no woman should have to rebuild her life without support. We walk alongside women with practical help, community, and faith-based resources — because restoration is possible, and nobody gets there alone. Hey, as we continue to grow and support single moms and their kiddos, we want you to know there is more to Believing Restoration is Attainable than you probably thought. So let's talk about it!

MYTH: BRA is just a grocery ministry.
FACT: Grocery Day is just one piece of something much bigger.

We walk with women through counseling connections, transition assistance, GriefShare, DivorceCare, workshops, fellowship, and so much more. We are here for the whole journey because restoration is about healing, growing, and moving forward with hope, not just meeting a moment of need.

At Believing Restoration is Attainable, we are constantly reminded that every act of service matters.

Whether you volunteer at Grocery Day, pray for our moms, attend an event, donate, encourage another woman, or simply show up when someone needs support, God is using it. Sometimes we see the impact right away, and sometimes the fruit grows quietly over time.

Galatians 6:9-10 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good. The seeds you plant through your generosity, faithfulness, and service are making a difference in the lives of women and children throughout our community.

To our members, volunteers, supporters, and prayer warriors, thank you. Thank you for stewarding your time, gifts, and resources so faithfully. Because of you, women are finding hope, families are finding support, and restoration is taking root.

Keep going. Keep serving. Keep believing. God is at work, and the harvest is coming.

We are still celebrating this one y'all! Last week Scooter's Coffee in Midlothian presented us with a donation from their May 4th Day of Giving and we are so grateful. Every coffee purchase that day added up to 10% of all sales going directly to Believing Restoration is Attainable. That is community showing up and it was beautiful.

Thank you to the amazing Erin Longnecker, owner of Scooter's Coffee Midlothian, for making this happen and for her generous heart toward BRA and so many other nonprofits. Because of people like Erin and every single one of you who stopped by Scooter's that day, we get to keep walking alongside single moms and their families. This is what restoration looks like in action!

At Believing Restoration is Attainable, we know healing is about more than making it through the day. It is about having support, guidance, and safe spaces to process life’s hardest seasons.

That is why we are so thankful for the counseling agencies that partner with us to provide care for both our moms and their children: Paws for Reflection Ranch , Elledge Counseling Associates, and Runnin Free Ranch.

Through these partnerships, women and families are able to receive counseling, encouragement, and support as they navigate grief, divorce, transition, and emotional healing. These resources make a real difference, not only for moms, but for their children as well.

Believing Restoration is Attainable has been given an incredible opportunity through our Be A Champion Challenge. We have received a $10,000 matching gift challenge, which means we now need to raise $10,000 to unlock the full match.

Every dollar given helps us continue providing groceries, counseling support, workshops, resources, transition assistance, and community for single moms and their children.
