READ THIS TESTIMONY!

Bobby Fortner was saved in a revival I preached in Lake Jackson, Texas in 1972 when he was 24 years old. He was an alcoholic and on drugs. I gave the altar call and Bobby was fighting conviction. I said, “There’s still someone else who needs to come to the altar and if you don’t come, I’m coming to you.” Bobby thought, “If he comes back to me, I’m going to punch him.”

I went back to him and said, “It’s you, isn’t it?” He said, “No, no, no!” I responded, “I may make a mistake, but the Holy Spirit doesn’t make mistakes. It’s you!” Bobby said he doesn’t remember going to the altar but about an hour later he picked himself off the floor, saved by the blood of the lamb. A couple of nights later he was baptized in the Spirit.

Bobby married a pastors daughter, Anna Jo Grumbles, and though he never pursued credentials, he often preached and even started a church among alcoholics and down and outers at one point. They have four grown children and they are all in the ministry.

Bobby and Anna Jo came Sunday to our service in Edna, Texas. Bobby hurt his back two years ago and God healed him Sunday. Anna Jo had a painful sciatic nerve problem that God began to heal Sunday that had almost disappeared by Wednesday. God told her He was going to heal her if she would get me to pray for her. Thank God for this on fire couple!

Three men were healed of problems with their shoulders and arms Sunday in the service in Edna, Texas. I will mention two in this post and tell of the other in a separate post.

Max Trapp, a visitor from Magnolia, Texas could not raise his left arm due to a long lingering, painful problem in his shoulder. God instantly healed him.

For years Jesse Soto could not raise his arms without pain but God gloriously healed him.

I’m thankful for my friend for over 50 years, Pastor David Murff and his son-in-law and daughter, Keith and Rachel Fuller.

Steve Thomas took me to Y/O Ranch Steak House in downtown Dallas for an early birthday dinner. The steak was delicious. That is the first dessert I have eaten this year. It’s hard to resist when it’s free.

Tuesday night at the North Texas Lead Conference, Dr. Chris Railey preached and emphasized the Holy Spirit Baptism. I prayed for Nemias, from Adult/Teen Challenge who was near me in the balcony, and he was baptized in the Spirit.

Lead Conference of the North Texas District was great. I enjoyed being with friends and seeing former students, such as Tawnya Harper Lee. The music was truly worshipful and the preaching was great.
