It is that time of year ~ the Crossroads of Texas Country Festival. The event to be held on Saturday, October 25th from 9:00 am till 7:00 pm in Downtown Waxahachie. Over 200 booths will fill the square and all of downtown.

As our annual fundraiser, we will be parking cars at the Boze Mitchell Mckibbin Funeral Home parking lot, 511 W. Main Street, for only $20.00. It is only two (2) blocks from downtown Waxahachie. All donations made will be for local men & women in Ellis County to be able and have a mammogram at Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center in Waxahachie.

We hope you can join in Waxahachie for a great day of fun on October 25th! Come & see us.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize those partners who ensure our patients, and our community, have access to mammogram screenings that can be the difference in identifying cancer early. Thank you to the Dinah Weable Foundation, Moncrief Cancer Institute and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie for your partnerships - past and present!

When Kristn's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, she was more worried about her own daughter than herself. Knowing breast cancer runs in families, Kristn joined Baylor Scott & White Health's High-Risk Breast Screening Program.

In November 2023, a routine screening found a small tumor in Kristn’s breast. Thanks to early detection, she had a lumpectomy in December, just a day after her mom’s reconstruction surgery.

Now, Kristn enjoys life with her husband, three poodles, and her hobbies.

“Breast cancer can be scary, but with knowledge, that fear doesn’t have to take over. You’re in control of making the best choices for yourself, no matter the situation," Kristn said.
