These Scouts of ours are always busy!! 🌟

Parker and Dom presented their STAR events on Monday at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference. Parker received GOLD for his Community Service project and Dom received GOLD for his project on Interior Design.

Our Scouts are paving the way as future leaders of America! Well done!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Klondike Derby Report - The Boy Scout Klondike Derby is an annual winter camping event for Scouts. Troops use homemade sleds to navigate a course while competing in stations that test their skills!

They slept in a tent on Friday night, competed in the Derby on Saturday and took shelter in the cabin on Saturday night. Tent camping was necessary to work towards their Red Flannel badge (being outside for a duration if time while the temps are cold).

Derby Skill Stations
Archery 0/5 - by the time they were used to the equipment, they were out of arrows.

Fire Starting 5/5 - this took them longer than they were expecting, but they made fire.

Knot Tying 4/5

Lunch - stew and hot dogs - each camler beings a can of soup for the BIG pot! Beef, Vegetables, Noodles & Chicken mix.

Nature 2/5

First Aid 5/5 - They were given the problem of a broken tibia & they knew what to do!

Orienteering 4/5

They also picked up some trash as part of a service project & celebrated Parker’s Birthday!! 🥳

Dinner was hamburgers, potatoes & apple cobbler! What a FUN, full weekend!!
