Tonight the scouts learned about Citizenship. We will be learning about citizenship in our next three meetings! We started off today by playing games with our Cub Scout friends! We discussed the importance of rules and why rules are important and make things fair!
Pictionary and UNO were a hit! 😃

Today the scouts practiced physical activity, they were active by moving like animals:
Bear 🐻
Frog 🐸
Penguin 🐧
Kangaroo 🦘
Duck 🦆
Snake 🐍
Elephant 🐘
Tiger 🐅
Butterfly 🦋
The scouts learned about healthy eating choices and colored the healthy foods they’ve tried.
Lastly, the scouts made a snack that involves every food group pizza and juice!
The scouts also handed in their popcorn sale forms today! 🍿 thank you to all that supported our troop!

At Tuesdays meeting we learned about outdoor adventure and the six essentials we need in our backpack when adventuring the outdoors!

Water 💦
First Aide Kit 🩹
Flashlight 🔦
Whistle 😗
Sunscreen 🧴
Food 🍪

The scouts had fun making their own trail mix to take on our adventure outside to explore and admire nature! When our walk was done we all drew a picture to share what our favorite part was!

We had fun during our fishing trip today! Here are some photos. Many scouts caught a fish for the very first time! 🎣

🎣 Fishing Fun Ahead! 🐟

Yesterday, our scouts dove into the world of fishing as part of our elective adventure! We had a great time learning all about:

✅ The different types of fish found right here in Iowa
✅ Fishing safety and how to stay smart near the water
✅ How to safely cast a fishing pole
✅ How to add a hook and lure properly
✅ And our older scouts even practiced tying essential fishing knots!

We’re proud of the skills they’re building — and now it’s time to put them to the test! Tomorrow, we’ll be heading out to rural Fairbank for a real fishing experience. 🎣🌾
