Thank You!
A lot of people have asked me why I cut and sell firewood. I have a full time job that requires full obligation. My daughter plays 3 sports. My son is making his own way as an adult. My grandson is my sunshine. Beth is my absolute everything in life… That being said this is why I cut firewood…
1. A man needs a tangible return in life. Look up and see where you’ve been and what you’ve done.
2. I love giving to people. I’d give my last dollar to a struggling family and rest pleasantly that night at bedtime.
3. My mental and physical health are very important to me. I’ve been over weight and out of shape, I’ve also been in dark places mentally. Firewood makes me happy.
This week our church, Waverly Church of the Nazarene (WCN) will host our annual VBS. A large portion of this week will be dedicated to giving to our local food pantry, Helping Hands of Waverly. We host a cereal drive through VBS with a goal of 800 boxes of cereal collected & donated through the church this week. That will supply Helping Hands for the year. This week me and Beth purchased 100 boxes of cereal with funds we’ve earned through firewood sells.
God called us and we delivered…. God bless my customers and people who believe in my mission. We are just getting started. We are going to help a lot of people and we are going to have a little fun along the way!
