Housing Choice Voucher (SECTION 8) will be open July 1, 2025.

Application will not be available before July 1, 2025, for the Section 8 Waitlist.
We are unable to mail applications out before July 1.
Currently, we do not offer an online application.
No appointment needed to apply.
Application available in the office.
Office hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30 PM

Application can be picked up starting at 8 am on July 1, 2025, at the PMHA office. Just come in and ask for one.

PLEASE BE ADVISED This program has expended all available funding. We are no longer accepting application (11/12/2024).

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS PROGRAM REQUIRES CHILDREN TO BE IN THE HOME.

Our agency is running a temporary PRC program to assist with housing costs for a month. The applications are located in a black box outside our office by our Dropbox. This program only runs until November 22 or until all available funding is used. Information about the program is listed below.

The black box will only be available outside during business hours.

Beverly Senior Apartments

Beverly Senior Apartments are located at 401 Beverly Ave., Waverly, OH 45690. Beverly Senior Apartments consist of 32 units of which 10 are one bedroom units and 22 are two bedroom units. Applicant or co-applicant must be 55 or older to apply.

Shyville Senior Apartments
Shyville Senior Living consists of 42 senior apartment units located at 2710 Shyville Road, Piketon Ohio. This complex has 10-1 bedroom units and 32- 2 bedroom units. These units are designed as single-story flats. Applicant or co-applicant must be 55 or older.

Emmitt Station Apartments

Emmitt Station is a 40-unit apartment complex located in Waverly across from Waverly City Schools. This complex has 16 one-bedroom apartments, 22 two-bedroom apartments and 2 three-bedroom apartments. Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) vouchers are accepted and rental assistance may be available. This waiting list can take up to 2-3 years or longer.

The PMHA owns and manages 2 low income housing complexes in Piketon, Ohio.

Moore Meadows, 633 Market Street, is a 47 unit family housing complex consisting of 19 two-bedroom units and 28 three-bedroom units; five of the three-bedroom units are equipped to accommodate persons with disabilities.
Vansant Commons, 2626 Shyville Road, is a 50-unit housing complex consisting of 4 one-bedroom units, all of which are equipped to accommodate persons with disabilities, 36 two-bedroom units, and 10 three-bedroom units.
Rent is based on the 30% of adjusted monthly income.
