PreK-3rd Wrestling
6 Weeks, Starting 11/16, with ability to continue after 1/1/27 if able to move on to advanced.
4th-6th Wrestling
11/16/26 - 2/17/27
Wrestling practices will be held at the new Wrestling Room at the High School.
1st-2nd Grade Basketball (Boys and Girls)
11/9 - 12/22 (Village Hall)
Boys - Mondays and Wednesdays
Girls - Tuesdays and Thursdays
We are looking for coaches for both of these divisions, if interested... please reach out! This level we are using smaller basketballs, lowered hoops. Just looking for the kids to cover the basics, working on fundamentals and continuing to progress as appropriate.
3rd/4th and 5th/6th Basketball (Boys and Girls)
Recreation League
11/9 - 12/22 (Elm St)
Boys - Mondays and Wednesdays
Girls - Tuesdays and Thursdays
There will be some Saturdays and Sundays for all groups also.
The Recreation League will be a mix of 3rd/4th and then 5th/6th. Practices will be working on developing skills and fundamentals as well as intrasquad scrimmages. We will also have weekend home and away games between Athens, Sayre and Troy with our Waverly teams split up as we go and who is available on that specific day or weekend. This season will be as packed as we can make it, so definitely expect multiple weekends of practices/games.
Travel League
12/27 - 3/7
The league we are in has three levels of boys teams and two levels of girls teams.
Boys: 3rd/4th, 5th, 6th
Girls: 3rd/4th and 5th/6th
Our basketball program will be treated like Little League, where the regular season is for everyone and all will be included in every practice, scrimmage and game we have (Recreation League). And the Travel League will be more like All-Stars where it will be invite only, we can't take everyone for that portion due to numbers.
Winter Cheer
Will be announced shortly, just working on gym space issues to make sure we can accommodate practices. There will be an email that goes out once I get it figured out.
There are two age groups for this program:
Average Age of Team between 7-8 years old.
Average Age of Team between 9-11 years old.
