I’ve been trying to better understand what is happening with funding for the Marinette County Consolidated Public Library System. I put together this information using Marinette County’s own adopted budgets and public records.

The historical numbers surprised me. Library tax support has remained nearly flat for more than a decade, while the cost of wages, benefits, utilities and basic goods has continued to rise.

The FY2027 budget is still being developed, but the proposed changes could have a significant effect on branch staffing, hours, programs and services.

I’m sharing this because I think people who use and value our county libraries deserve to understand what is happening. Please feel free to read and share.

Hi Friends! The library has gone through a new computer system implementation. If you're trying to use the Infosoup App, you will need to uninstall the old Infosoup App that you're using and reinstall the new "Infosoup Library" App.

If you're having trouble with your Libby App, try logging out, then logging back in.

Important dinosaur logistics: Miss Daisy is BIG, and she does not dismantle easily, so please keep transportation in mind before committing to adoption!
