Every great community asset has people behind it who quietly put in the work year after year. In Athens, Wisconsin, Steven Brewster has been at the heart of that effort for the trails.
The Red Granite Grinder rolls through some incredibly special trails shaped by countless hours of building, maintaining, and improving. Long before race day and riders arrive, the work is happening behind the scenes to make these experiences possible.
Small towns like Athens are so special because of the people willing to pour themselves into creating something bigger than themselves. Because of Steve’s vision and dedication, these trails have become a place for the community to ride, explore, and gather, while also showcasing the beauty of Central Wisconsin to visitors through events like the Red Granite Grinder.
