Women Concerned for Auto Racing (WCAR)

Women Concerned for Auto Racing (WCAR) An organization that has members both men and women that enjoy auto racing. The organization hold 50\50 raffles at the track and other racing functions.

The organization volunteers at the local State Park Speedway and supports the Wausau Adults Special Olympics.

Mike Olson

Mike raced the full season at State Park Speedway in 2013. He finished in at State Park this season. This is Mike’s 8th full season racing stock cars.
Mike’s favorite movie is Days of Thunder. His favorite NASCAR driver is Kyle Busch. His dad Larry Olson inspired him to be racing cars.
His greatest accomplishment in life is winning the Breast cancer feature at the Full Throttle race at State Park Speedway. His long term goal in life is to keep on racing.
He would like to thank the following people for helping him during the 2013 racing season his dad Larry, Brother Jake, and his pit crew Jeany, Jakes, and Robby Bunkleman.

Dean Lapointe
Super Late Model #15
Dean raced a full season at Marshfield this year. He also raced in the Yellow River racing series and he also raced the ARCA Midwest touring race at Marshfield as well. He finished the year 5th in points for the regular racing season at Marshfield and 6th in the Yellow River Racing series there as well.
His favorite movie is the Hangover series. He claims he likes all of the NASCAR drivers or he does not want to let everybody know which one it is. Dean says that always being involved in racing is what inspired him to begin driving himself.
His greatest accomplishment is waking up every morning. He wants to keep doing the stuff he is doing is what is his long term goal in life.
Dean would like to thank everybody from his crew and the fans for supporting him this 2013 racing season.

Jim Sauter Jr
Super Late Model #51
Jim has been involved in racing most of his life, but has only been racing for 20 years. He ran a limited season at Marshfield Motor Speedway and a full season at Golden Sands Speedway as well. He finished the season at Marshfield in 12th place in points.
Jim’s favorite movie is any one with John Wayne in the movie. His favorite NASCAR driver is Johnny Sauter. Watching his dad race inspired him to begin racing himself as well.
Jim’s greatest accomplishment is winning the track championship at Marshfield in 2012. His long term goal is to live a healthy and happy life.
Jim would like to thank anyone that helped him during the 2013 racing season.

Jason Weinkauf
Super Late Model #76
Jason has been racing for 16 years now. He races many different divisions in the past season of racing. He raced at State Park Speedway, ARCA Midwest Touring Series, and a few shows at Marshfield Motor Speedway in the 2013 season. He finished the season in Marshfield in 17th place which with only a couple of races this season was very good.
Jason’s favorite NASCAR driver is Jeff Gordon. His favorite movie is Rocky. His dad inspired him to race stock cars by taking him to the track and watching Dick Trickle and Joe Shear race. He says watching his brother Chris race also gave him some inspiration to race also.
His greatest accomplishment is winning the ARCA Midwest tour race at Marshfield. His long term goal in life is to keep on racing and having fun doing it.
Jason would like to thank the following people for helping with the 2013 racing season Jay Vandergeest, Vandergeest racing, his wife Beth for taking care of his son while he raced, His dad Ray, and DJ Fritz.

Ryan Hinner
Super Late Model #23
Ryan has been racing for 11 years now. He runs both at Marshfield Motor Speedway and State Park Speedway. He finished the year at Marshfield in 4th place. He also was able to finish in 7th in the Yellow River Series at Marshfield this season. He also made an appearance in the 2 ARCA races at Marshfield. So Ryan did very well racing this season.
Ryan’s favorite movie is Tommy Boy. His favorite NASCAR driver is Tony Stewart. He said that watching NASCAR inspired him to begin his racing career.
His greatest accomplishment is winning the super stock championship in 2011 at
SS track. His long term goal in life is to go as far as he can in racing and to start a family.
Ryan would like to thank the following for help with the 2013 season Bryan and Reyne Reffner, Bill Hinner, Adam Kurkowski, and John Bouee.

Tim Hintz
Super Late Model #1
Tim believes he has been racing for at least 20 years. He ran a select schedule at Marshfield Motor Speedway this season. He finished in 15th place overall for the race season.
Tim’s favorite movie is Talladegha Nights. Tony Stewart is his favorite NASCAR driver. He claims that no one inspired him to begin racing, he always wanted to try it and drive something fast.
His greatest accomplishment is winning a championship season at Marshfield. His long term goals are win more championships.

Mark Eswein
Super Late Model #71
Mark has been racing for 24 years he recalls. He races a weekly schedule at Marshfield Motor Speedway and has also raced the Yellow River races there as well this season. He finished in 3rd place in the regular season and 3rd place in the Yellow River Series also. He also raced most of the season at State Park Speedway and Golden Sands also this year.
Mark’s favorite movie is Top Gun. Kyle Busch is his favorite NASCAR driver. He says his dad inspired him to begin racing with taking him to the local track to watch everyone else racing.
Mark says his greatest accomplishments are winning all the divisional track championships at Golden Sands Speedway, also winning the Flip Merwin Memorial race in 2012.

Colin Reffner

Colin has been racing for 13 years now. He comes from a long time racing family with his Grandpa Tom and Uncle Bryan both racing late models as well. Colin raced the full season at Marshfield Motor Speedway on a weekly basis and also racing in there Yellow River series. Colin finished in the regular points at Marshfield in 7th place and in the Yellow River series in 4th place for the season. He also got to make a few appearances at State Park Speedway also this year.
His dad, grandpa, and uncle all inspired him to beginning racing stock cars. Colin’s favorite movie is Days of Thunder. Jeff Gordon is his favorite NASCAR driver.
Colin’s greatest accomplishment is winning feature race at La Crosse. His long term goal in life is to make it to the highest rank in racing he can.
Colin would like to thank for their help with the 2013 season are his entire family, crew, sponsors, and Krukowski Stone.

Jesse Haase

Jesse has been racing since 1995. He races a regular season at State Park Speedway and is currently in 5th place in points.
Jesse’s favorite movie is Days of Thunder. Kurt Busch is his favorite NASCAR driver. His dad inspired him to begin his racing season as his dad also raced cars.
His greatest accomplishment is winning all 3 memorials at state park the Larry Detjens, Flip Merwin and the Lodi Memorial races. His long term goal on life is raising a family that he can be proud of.

Scott Ciesielski
Car # 21
Scott runs at both State Park Speedway, and also is running at Marshfield Motor Speedway. At State Park Speedway he runs in the Mini Mod class and is currently 11th in points for the 2013 race season. At Marshfield he runs in the X-TREME PRO 4’s class and is currently 8th in points for the 2013 race season.
Scott’s greatest accomplishment was actually winning his 1st race behind the wheel of a car. His dad and Dick Trickle inspired him to start racing. He has been racing cars for 6 years now and hopes to continue for a long time to come.
Some things he enjoys Days of Thunder. Carl Edwards is his favorite NASCAR driver. His long term goal in life is to get a chance to run a Super Late Model car.

Phil Malouf
Super stock and Xtreme 4’s and Mini Mods #32
Phil has been racing for 14 years. Lyle Nowak has inspired him to begin racing. Phil finished at Marshfield Motor Speedway in the super stock division in 1st place and in the xtreme 4’s class he was in 6th place. He also ran in the mini mods class at State Park Speedway.
His favorite movie is National Security. Carl Edwards is his favorite NASCAR driver. Phil’s daughter Anna sings the national anthem at Marshfield very often.
His greatest accomplishment is getting Anna to race at the Eagle River snowmobile derby in January. Phil has a long term goal to keep on racing himself and to have his daughter Anna moves up in her racing career also. Both him and Anna race dirt also.
Phil would like to thank his sponsors and family for help in the 2013 racing season.

Paige Decker
Super Late Model #03
Paige ran at Marshfield Motor Speedway, State Park Speedway and also raced the Tundra Series in the 2013 racing season. She finished 8th in points at Marshfield. She was competing for rookie of the year in the Tundra racing series. Paige was also able to race in the World Series of Stock car in Florida this past winter and did very well for her 1st time. She began her racing career competing with snowmobiles and go carts. This is her 4th year racing cars.
Paige’s favorite movie is Pitch Perfect. Matt Kenseth is her favorite NASCAR driver. Her dad inspired her to begin racing. She is a part of family with her sister Claire also racing and Cousin Natalie driving in many divisions as well.
Her greatest accomplishment is being the highest finish by a female in the Tundra racing series at Golden Sands Speedway on Memorial Day this year. Her long term goals are to be a ARCA driver for NASCAR.
Paige would like to thank her Uncle Chuck Decker and Toby Nuttleman for assistance during the 2013 racing season.
