NOAMI's 14th Annual picnic was held 8?26/24 at Marathon Park. It was a huge success inspite of the hot, humid weather. We recognized 4 community organizations that work hard and build our beloved community here in Wausau. The Hmong American Center, Citizens for a Clean Wausau, Open Door and the Juneteenth Planning Committee we recognized for their contributions. We appreciate all of the support from the community and look forward to another year of collaboration in service to our community.

All are welcome to attend!! Please RSVP at naomi4justice@yahoo.com, hope to see you there.

February 4, 2024 is recognized throughout the United States as Transit Equity Day. It is a collaborative effort of several organizations and local units of government to promote public transit as a civil right and a strategy to combat climate change. Furthermore, it was chosen as February 4th because it is Rosa Park’s birthday. Parks was an iconic figure during the civil rights era after refusing to give up her seat on the bus. We want to make the connection to this act of resistance to highlight the rights of all people for high-quality public transportation powered by clean/renewable energy.

NAOMI recognized all employees of MetroRide with a small gift to show our appreciation for all they do for public transportation.
