Hmong Wausau Festival Singing Competition Registration is NOW OPEN!
Thank you to everyone who shared feedback and ideas as we worked to refresh and grow this year's competition. We're excited to introduce some new elements, especially our Duet category, to help encourage confidence, creativity, and collaboration on stage!
⚠️ Contestants may compete in ONE category only, either Solo or Duet.
SOLO VOCAL COMPETITION
• Perform 2 different songs over 2 days (Saturday & Sunday)
• One slow song and one fast song
• English and/or Hmong songs (at least one song is preferably Hmong)
This category focuses on vocal technique, control, range, stage presence, and consistency across both performances.
DUET PERFORMANCE COMPETITION
• Perform 1 song only
• One judged performance on Sunday
• Focus on vocal blend, harmony, chemistry, creativity, and overall presentation
Think of your duet as telling a story together, creating a performance that showcases your connection and teamwork.
Please take your time reviewing the application form thoroughly. There are several new details and requirements this year, so it may take a little while to complete.
Duets must submit ONE application listing both participants, and both individuals must agree to all rules and requirements.
