Payne’s Pacas Inc. Our mission is to provide stuffed alpacas to children who are in the pediatric intensive care unit.

Our mission is to provide comfort to children who are undergoing medical treatment in the pediatric intensive care units at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children's Hospital. These hospitals were where Payne was hospitalized and received the best possible care.

Two weeks ago, Payne’s Pacas Inc. hosted their second annual pitch and UNO tournament and we had THE BEST TIME!

Through generous donations, we collected $6,160! This is enough to purchase 176 stuffed alpacas!

🎉 Pitch Tournament Winners:
• 1st Place: Rachel Schutte and Sam Haller
• 2nd Place: Chris Haberer and Jamie Clausen
• 3rd Place: Janice Hefner and Monty Hefner

🌶️ Chili Cook-Off Winners:
• 1st Place: Casey Anderson
• 2nd Place: Nate Schutte
• 3rd Place: Coleman Broders

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who participated and supported the event!

Our goal for 2026 is to expand our donations! We are in contact with Children’s Mercy in Kansas City and Sioux Falls Children’s Hospital! Because of kind, giving donors, we will be able to spread EVEN MORE smiles, one alpaca at time.
