📢 Summer Teen One Act Auditions
Auditions for SAFETOWN by Jon Jory are open to ages 13-18 and will take place June 27th from 10am-Noon at Waupun Public Library.

🍖 Pulled Pork Fundraiser
July 2nd come on down to West End Park (by the hospital) for Chuck’s famous pulled pork! $3 sandwich, $6 plate (sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie). Food starts at 5:30 then stay for a concert from “My So Called Band” starting at 6! Cash or Card accepted. Rain location is Waupun Ice Arena.

🎭☀️ TEENS, THIS IS YOUR STAGE! ☀️🎭

The Waupun Community Players are excited to announce auditions for our Summer One-Act Production of SAFETOWN by Jon Jory!

🌟 Open to ages 13–18 🌟

What would you do if the world as you knew it suddenly disappeared?

About the Show:
After a catastrophic event devastates much of the United States, a group of young survivors hides in a cave, relying on their courage, resourcefulness, and each other to stay alive. When rumors spread of an idyllic community called Safetown, hope begins to clash with fear. As danger closes in and one of their own falls mysteriously ill, the group must decide whether to risk everything for a chance at a better future—or stay where they are and fight to survive. 

🎬 This powerful, fast-paced one-act explores friendship, resilience, leadership, and the choices we make when everything is on the line.

🎭 Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, we want to see you at auditions!

📅 Audition Date: Saturday June 27th
⏰ Time: 10am-Noon
📍 Location: Waupun Public Library

Rehearsals start the first week of July.
Shows are July 31st and August 1st.

📣 Waupun Community Players Needs Your Help! 🎭

Waupun Community Players is currently looking for storage space for our sets, props, costumes, and theater equipment. Ideally, we are hoping to find an indoor, waterproof space in Waupun or just outside the area that would be available by July 1st.

We are also open to other possibilities, including finding someone who would allow us to place a waterproof shipping container on their property for storage purposes.

As a local non-profit community theater organization, our budget is limited, so we are hoping to find something affordable. Discounts or donated space for a non-profit would be greatly appreciated! ❤️

Our meeting is tonight!

Anyone is welcome to come and learn more about our organization or share their ideas!

We are definitely in need of more directors, vocal directors (so we can do some more musicals), set/construction help, and more!

What an incredible weekend! 🎭✨

As the curtain closes on our latest production, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this show such a success. From our talented cast and dedicated directors to our backstage crew, sound and lighting volunteers, set builders, costume helpers, ticket booth and concessions teams — this production would not have been possible without each and every one of you.

To our audiences: thank you for supporting local community theater, filling the seats with laughter, applause, and encouragement. Your support means the world to us and keeps the arts alive in our community.

Community theater is truly a team effort, and we are so grateful to everyone who gave their time, talents, energy, and heart to this production. We can’t wait to do it all again with you soon! ❤️
