Today we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. We honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Allied troops on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, a day that forever changed the course of history. May we never forget their courage and heroism.

VFW Post 1037 came across this old photo of the Wisconsin National Guard leaving Waupaca train station for Camp Beauregard Louisiana Oct 21, 1940. Their training would prepare them for the war to come.
