Looking for a good brat to end the summer? Come out and support the VFW on Saturday at the Chain One-Stop station and the Remax parking lot for our last brat fry of the summer.

When you support the VFW you also support the local community. Over the past year Waupaca VFW Post 1037 and auxiliary participated in 139 community service events. These events include military funeral honors, road side trash pickup, donations to local causes that support the community, and supporting veterans in need in the community. During those 139 events 288.5 hours were logged. Between cash donations and time donated the VFW Post gave back $21,000 to the Waupaca community in the last year!

Thank you to EGGin’ 4 Heroes for providing VFW Post 1037 with a delicious meal for our monthly meeting. EGGin’ 4 Heroes is a local non-profit organization that provides meals for the local heroes (veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and other first responders) and have various opportunities through the community to try their food. Definitely recommended and it’s a great cause. Thanks again!!

Today we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. We honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Allied troops on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, a day that forever changed the course of history. May we never forget their courage and heroism.
