We're a ministry of The Lakes Church in Waupaca, Wisconsin, on a mission to eliminate hunger in local schools. Founded in 2010, our program has grown to support over 280 students every week. Working closely with area schools, we identify students in need of food support. Through generous donations, we purchase groceries and pack them for distribution. School staff place the bags of food into stude

nts' backpacks, ensuring they have enough to eat over the weekend. Here's how you can get involved:

• Donate: Your contributions directly support our efforts. Make a financial contribution or donate online at thelakeswaupaca.com/give (select "Project Backpack").
• Volunteer: Join our dedicated team of over 100 volunteers. Help pack groceries, label items, or deliver food to schools. Contact Cathy Iverson at 859-940-5904 or Tina Brunner at 920-867-4764.
• Spread the Word: Share our mission and the impact we're making. Raise awareness about childhood hunger in our community. Together, we can end childhood hunger one student at a time. Join us in providing nourishment and hope for a brighter future.

A HUGE shout out to Central Sands High School students and staff who came to the rescue and packed bags early so that drivers (another HUGE shout out!) could deliver totes a day early due to the impending ice storm. The team makes the dream work, thanks to everyone today!

We are looking for lead qualified teachers who love working with children and want to be part of a caring, faith-based environment.

What makes us special:
• We are a small center with a close family feel.
• We love spending our days outside and exploring nature!
• We have discounted childcare for you to bring your littles.
• We are faith-based and love to incorporate Christ into our daily routines and activities. It is not required to be Christian to be a part of our Lakes family. We love and welcome all people and children!
• We prioritize the kids' interests and we want them to just be kids! We love to have dance parties, play in the mud and whatever makes our Lakes Littles excited!
