This past year our Club set up a high school Interact chapter (the HS equivalent of Rotary). As part of their Service Above Self, they have to engage in a local, national and international service project each year.

For their International project they have paired with the Kalahari Water Foundation to build a well in Africa with charity:water. They are aiming to raise $10,000 by December 31 so they can fully fund a well and have it branded as Waunakee Interact.

At our final 2025/26 Rotary Year Board meeting in June a decision was made to give back BIG to two very important non-profit services in our community. We thank the The Waunakee Tribune for spreading the news!

One of the best events of our spring — and we're still smiling about it! 🎉🎲💙

Thanks to the incredible success of our Chip and Chips fundraiser, Waunakee Rotary Club was thrilled to present donations to Mental Mountains Project & Project Brave in support of mental health in our community.

And the generosity didn't stop there — in a truly touching moment, our raffle winner donated their winnings right back to the cause, amplifying the impact even further. That's the Waunakee spirit. 💛

Mental health matters, and we're proud to put our fundraising energy behind organizations doing vital work right here at home. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this event — you made it something truly special!

At a recent meeting, we were honored to welcome Lannia Stenz from Gilda's Club Madison to share their incredible work supporting people affected by cancer in our community. 💙

Lannia's personal connection to and passion for supporting and caring for cancer patients shone through in her presentation. Our members were thoroughly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and sharing stories of their own experiences.

Gilda's Club provides vital support, connection, and hope to cancer patients, survivors, and their families — and we're proud to shine a spotlight on the meaningful work happening right here in our region.
