We won best fish fry and best bartenders in the 2026 Best of Waunakee. This takes a lot of wonderful volunteers to make our fish fries happen and bartenders who dedicate their time. Thank you so much to all of them and thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for us.

Memorial Day May 25, American Legion Post 360 will have ceremonies for departed veterans at the following cemeteries:
8:00am Union Cemetery in Vienna, Hwy 113
8:20am Kolman Cemetery, West Woodland Drive
8:40am Kingsley Cemetery, Kingsley Road
9:00am St John’s Cemetery
9:30am St Mary’s Cemetery
The Memorial Program starts off with a parade at 10:30am at the Fire Station on O’Malley Street then right on Main Street.
The Poppy Queen, Diane Phaneuf and Poppy Princess Ameilia Smeeding will be in the parade.
The American Legion Color Guard leads the parade followed by the Boy Scouts Troop 46 to the American Legion Post 360, 417 East Main Street, Waunakee.
11:00am the program begins with the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem played by the Middle School Band, Prayer, and Eulogy by Pastor Leonard Allen, Laying of Wreath, Roll call of our deceased Veterans, Prayer, Salute to our departed Comrades and Taps by the Middle School.
Potluck lunch will be served following the program; the Legion will provide hotdogs.
All are welcome to join in these ceremonies.

American Legion Post 360 will hold our last fish fry of the season on Friday, April 10th. Our fish fries support many activities in the Waunakee community and schools. Serving from 4:30-7:30pm, deep fried and baked cod, baked potatoes, french fries, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, rolls and butter.
Adults $15.00, children 5-10 years old is $7.00 and under 5 years old free. (No tax and no tip). CASH OR CHECK ONLY
Drinks are available from the bar from 4-9pm. Fish Fry gift certificates are available.
The Waunakee Strummers will be performing for your listening enjoyment.
