💜 Support Waunakee Community Cares Coalition!

Since 2014, WCCC has brought community partners together to help prevent and reduce youth substance use while supporting mental wellness, resiliency, and healthy choices for youth and families in our community.

Every donation helps WCCC continue creating opportunities, resources, and support for a healthier Waunakee. Whether you give $10, $25, or more, every gift makes a difference.

But being cool is not the same as being caring.

Being caring means standing up to peer pressure as adults first. It means role modeling the very behavior we hope our teens will adopt. When parents and caregivers set clear boundaries, stay involved, and open their homes with intention, they help reduce the risks that can come with underage drinking, ma*****na use, impaired driving, and other dangerous choices. A safe home is not about taking the fun away. It is about making sure good times do not come at the cost of a young person’s health, future, or life.

Did you know alcohol is a carcinogen, meaning it can cause cancer? Drinking any amount of alcohol increases your risk of seven different types of cancer, including breast cancer. Reducing alcohol intake can lower your risk.
