Our Food for Kidz leaders swapped our well-known lime green shirts for bright yellow ones as we volunteered at Bratfest this weekend. From wrapping and running brats to cashiering and serving beverages, we definitely got our steps in. To top it all off, we received a wonderful surprise of an anonymous donor matching the hours we worked. What a fantastic event and another great team experience as we continue gearing up for our October 11 event.

Pints with Purpose event last Thursday was a huge success! Thank you again to Working Draft Beer Company for hosting us, Automation Arts for sponsoring, and the Pints with Purpose organizers for choosing Food for Kidz as the spotlight nonprofit. We raised over $1,700 that will go towards purchasing raw ingredients for our October 11 event. 🙌🏼💜💚

Got a long grocery list? Get to the Waunakee Main Street Market Piggly Wiggly these last couple days in April and round up to support Food for Kidz! We can only make as many meals as the fundraising supports and the cents add up. Shop the Pig!

It may be April Fool's Day, but there's no fooling around here! Throughout the month of April, when you "Shop the Pig" round up to support Food for Kidz! Every $0.25 that is donated provides a meal, so that extra change can make a BIG impact for struggling families! 🫶💜

We are so grateful for the continued support from Culvers Waunakee! 💙💜
Once again, our volunteers in lime green shirts had an amazing time serving food and ice cream to the community, all while helping raise funds to support our Food for Kidz mission of providing meals to those need. We loved connecting with everyone who came out, and yes, we all enjoyed a well-deserved treat after our shifts, too. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night such a success.

We recently kicked off planning for this year’s big event with an energizing team meeting! Between mapping out ideas and timelines for our event on October 11, we enjoyed an abundant taco bar (because great planning requires great food 🌮), and wrapped up the evening with a lively white elephant gift exchange. Some committee members walked away with practical gifts, while others….well, let’s just say the laughs were priceless.

Even though our event is still months away, there’s already so much thoughtful preparation happening behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the dedicated team making it all possible!
