Brad O’Hare recently stopped by with a donation from this summer’s ride, and we’re so grateful to everyone who attended, donated and helped coordinate another successful event.

Thank you for continuing to honor Matt’s memory while keeping families at Ronald McDonald House in your hearts year after year.

The countdown is on—just 4 days until the Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride 2026! We can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday for another incredible day of remembering Matt, enjoying great company, and supporting some amazing causes.

🥞 Before you come register for the ride, be sure to stop by the Waukon Fire Department Pancake Breakfast! It’s a great way to start your morning while supporting another outstanding group that does so much for our community. Grab a hearty breakfast, then head over and join us for the ride!

Whether you’re bringing a motorcycle, classic car, minivan, or anything in between, we’d love to have you with us. Every rider, every passenger, and every supporter helps make this event special.

🚨 Only 5 days until the Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride! 🏍️🚗

The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to see everyone this Sunday!

A few friendly reminders before you hit the road:

💵 Cash only at the bars during the ride. Our stop locations are small-town bars, and cash helps keep the lines moving as they work hard to serve the large crowd that comes through. Please be patient and show them some grace—they do an amazing job and truly appreciate your business!

📱 Venmo is available for ride registration and donations if you prefer not to pay with cash for those.

🥤 Don’t forget your pop can tabs! If you’ve been saving them, bring them along to donate. Every little bit helps!

Most importantly, come ready for a great day of riding, laughs, memories, and honoring Matt’s legacy with an incredible community.

🚨 ONE WEEK TO GO! 🚨

The Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride is just one week from tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see everyone!

If you heard a radio ad saying we start at Lid’s, there was a mixup, we are starting at Village Farm & Home, Waukon.

One of the questions we get every year is:

“What if I don’t have a motorcycle or a classic car?”

Our answer is simple… bring whatever you’ve got! 🚗🚐🛻
Drive your minivan, pickup, SUV, or family car. This day isn’t about what you drive—it’s about coming together to honor Matt, support great causes, and enjoy a day with friends and family.

🎁 Auction Donations Needed
If you’d like to donate an item for our live auction, please contact Susan O’Hare or Brad, or simply drop your donation off at Village Farm & Home in Waukon. We’ll hold a short live auction after everyone returns to Lid’s Bar & Grill.

🚌 Bus Information
We’ll once again have a bus available for anyone who would rather ride than drive.

* First come, first served (no reservations).
* $5 per person to ride the bus, in addition to the $10 ride registration.
* If you’d like your vehicle waiting for you at Lid’s after the ride, meet the bus at Lid’s Bar & Grill by 10:00 AM. The bus will take you to Village Farm & Home so you can register before the ride.
* The bus leaves Lid’s promptly at 10:00 AM, so please be on time!
