It was great to be joined by Lauren, who is gaining hands-on learning experience as a Marketing Intern at ONC and helping make Illuminate Ozaukee shine.

Our DOL NEXT Grant continues to open doors—more than 121 individuals trained so far!

Yesterday, we spent time with our CNA class strengthening essential job-readiness skills, including résumé development, mock interviews, navigating job applications on both desktop and mobile platforms, and practicing professionalism within healthcare settings.

This dedicated group has now completed their CNA training and takes their certification exam today. We’re incredibly proud of their achievements and excited for all that lies ahead for them.

With Wisconsin facing significant shortages in frontline healthcare roles—including CNA turnover rates of nearly 1 in 3 statewide—our focus on CNA training remains critical to supporting patient care and the long-term care workforce.

Of the 121 participants trained through NEXT, 69 individuals have completed CNA training, with another cohort of 10 students beginning their CNA training on December 1, 2025.
