THANK YOU to everyone that joined us last night for Pitching Positivity and for those that supported from afar! We are extremely grateful for each and everyone of you!

Special thank you to Broken Bat Brewing Company for hosting us for the evening, Charlie's Catering for the fantastic food, R.J. Ziebarth for providing musical entertainment and our sponsors Utopia Martial Arts and Forever Flooring 1203. Partnering with local community members to put on these great events is what Funds for Fighters mission has been since day one, we are very appreciative of this year's partnerships and hope to work together again down the line!

One more big thank you to our honorary guest Miles, for sharing his mental health story, and our other fighters Jordi and Leah for sharing their stories (can read those on our website) and helping provide the inspiration for this year's event.

Mental health is often overlooked, under-reported, and not taken seriously but approximately 1 in 5 children (ages 3-17) in the U.S. have a diagnosed mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder. There’s only 1 WEEK left to buy a ticket to our upcoming event. All proceeds will go to mental and behavioral health at Children’s WI.

59% of Wisconsin high school students reported having mental health symptoms in 2025. Two of our fighters, Jordi and Leah, have been courageous enough to share their own mental health journeys. Visit our website to read their stories and support other youth just like them.

EXCITING NEWS!! For the first time at a Funds for Fighters event, there will be live music featuring local artist, RJ Ziebarth. Here is a little bit about RJ, as well as his link tree to listen to his music on your favorite platforms:

Born and raised in rural Wisconsin, Ryan James “R.J.” Ziebarth (“zee—barth”) is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and filmmaker currently based in Milwaukee. As comfortable on stage in a rock band as he is being a lone folk singer, Ziebarth enjoys crafting arrangements of varying genres, often met with sprawling instrumentals, evocative lyrics and his brutal yet buttery baritone. His music is sincere and laden with dry wit, comforting anyone with a love for good old-fashioned storytelling.

Many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help. We appreciate each and every one of our supporters, so our response is you don't need to do anything to help. However, if you feel you really want to help, the best way to do so is continue to spread the word and get friends and family to come out on February 21st!
