Making Space for Hope is a Gold Award project through Girl Scouts. We are honored to be selected for this project and invite you to learn more about our young sponsor and the work she's leading here at Arden Shore!

Hi! My name is Maggie and I have been a Girl Scout for eight years. This channel is dedicated to my Gold Award Project: Making Space for Hope. I am partnering with Arden Shore to remodel their intake and visitation spaces to support the needs of foster kids.

What a Monday! 💛

We spent the day with our board, our team, and some of the best community partners in Lake County — all in one room, talking about the future of Arden Shore.

We asked them to be honest with us: Where can we lead? Where can we grow? Who should we build with? And they showed up big, with great ideas, kind hearts, and real talk that's already helping shape our plan for the next three years.

A huge thank you to the partners who joined us:
Brushwood Center • Center for Immigrant Progress • College of Lake County • Waukegan Arts Council • A Safe Place/Lake County Crisis Center • Alderman Victor Felix - Waukegan 4th Ward

We walked away full of hope and ready to keep going. ¡Gracias a todos! The best is yet to come. 🙌

Thank you, Alderman Victor Felix - Waukegan 4th Ward , for joining us and for your kind words!

We were so grateful to have you and so many community voices in the room yesterday. You said it perfectly—real change starts with listening. As we decide what Arden Shore becomes next, we've been dedicated to understanding what families in Lake County truly need right now.

It meant a lot to have leaders, partners, educators, advocates, and neighbors all share openly and dream together. These honest conversations are exactly what will shape our future.

We're excited to keep this going, and we're thankful to have partners like you walking alongside us.
