The Waukee Leadership Institute's 2026–27 program begins Tuesday, August 18, and we're opening the door for a few more leaders to join us.

Over nine months, WLI participants develop the skills, relationships and perspective to:

• Lead Self — grow personally and professionally
• Lead Others — become a more effective leader
• Lead Community — get more connected and make a greater impact

It's an experience designed for professionals who want to grow professionally, expand their networks and become more engaged in the community around them.

Big things happening in Waukee 👏

We’re proud to celebrate the graduation of the Waukee Leadership Institute Class of 2026—an inspiring group that showed up, leaned in, and put their commitment to community into action all year long.

Their class project, Dispensing Literacy, partnered with the Waukee Community Schools Foundation to bring book vending machines to local elementary schools—making reading more accessible, exciting, and rewarding for kids across our community. To date, they’ve raised an incredible $8,755.21 (and counting!) with a few grants and generous donors still in progress.

With this class, our alumni network is now nearly 300 leaders strong—each one dedicated to making a lasting impact right here at home.
