The Grant Ragan PTO is a non-profit, volunteer parent-teacher organization whose membership includes all families and staff at Grant Ragan Elementary School. The PTO’s mission is to encourage communication and involvement among parents, teachers, support staff and students at Grant Ragan. Our efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child, while aiding them in achieving their h
ighest potential. The PTO:
*Provides additional resources and support for teachers and staff.
*Holds fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences
*Supports projects which will benefit students in the home, in the community, and the school
*Fosters a spirit of cooperation between parents and teachers to assist in and enhance the student’s education. This is done through the efforts of the parent, teacher, and staff volunteers who compose the PTO Board and Committees. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children. Grant Ragan Elementary PTO Facebook Policy:
The Grant Ragan Elementary PTO page is provided by the PTO as a service to families, teachers, and staff. We maintain this Facebook site as a means to quickly share useful information about PTO events, activities and policies. All postings on this page are subject to removal by the PTO board. Please note that the page administrators review all postings and comments to ensure they align with this user policy. If you have questions, please contact Grant Ragan PTO at [email protected]. The Grant Ragan PTO cannot allow postings that:
*Identify Grant Ragan PTO members, Grant Ragan staff, parents or students in defamatory, critical or negative terms.
*Contain inappropriate, critical or abusive language or statements.

*Do not show consideration for others or are considered likely to offend or negatively provoke others.
*Are considered spam.
*Contain images that identify specific children by name (unless permission is given by parents).
*Are unrelated to Grant Ragan PTO, Grant Ragan Elementary, Waukee Community Schools or our community family events. PTO and Grant Ragan administrators reserve the right to remove any posts or comments at any time. When to contact Grant Ragan Elementary directly:
Certain questions or comments should be kept offline and instead be directed to the principal, teachers, or the Grant Ragan PTO Board Members in person or via e-mail. These include:
*Questions about Grant Ragan/Waukee Schools policies, such as attendance, discipline, behavior issues, etc.
*Concerns about your child’s educational experience, including test scores, academic standards, etc.
*Comments, questions or criticism about particular events that transpire on your child’s bus, on school grounds, in the classroom or during school-sponsored activities.
