Easily accessible from major transportation routes located just off of U.S. Private and exclusive enough to please the most discriminating homebuyer, yet unpretentious. Wauconda takes it's name from an Indian Chief of the Winnebago tribe. Legend says that Chief Wauconda is burried somewhere on the southern bank of Bangs Lake. Translated, Bangs Lake means "Spirit Water". Wauconda was organized in 1849.
