Thank you, TVEF, for funding another 3rd Grade field trip during the 2025-2026 school year. On the last days of school, we packed up and headed to Decorah. Our class received a tour of the Vesterheim Museum. This aligned perfectly with both our CKLA Amplify Literacy and our Social Studies Curriculum. During the school year, we studied Norse Mythology, the history of Leif Erickson and European Immigration.

For a little fun, we toured the Fish Hatchery, had lunch and hiked the bike path! It was the perfect end to our school year! Thank you for funding our final trip of the year!!!

2025-2026 Funded Grant:
3rd Graders lucked out and picked the most beautiful day for a 2-mile hike through Effigy Mounds National Park yesterday. Ranger Karen was impressed with our 3rd graders' in-depth knowledge of Native American history, thanks to our Amplify CKLA literacy curriculum. This was a perfect field trip to bridge our learning! We saw all of the types of mounds studied in the classroom! Conical (although, we learned that not all conical mounds were used for burials), Linear, Compound, and even Effigy! Although we went to Effigy with so much knowledge, we learned so much more.

Of course, we had to stop and play at the park. We even had to show the parents how to win at kickball!

Thank you, Turkey Valley Education Foundation for funding this field trip!

2025-2026 Funded Grant:
The Turkey Valley Preschool team would like to extend a big thank you to the Turkey Valley Education Association for supporting our Preschool Letter Lab project. Because of your generosity, our classrooms now have a fun, hands-on space where children can explore letters and sounds in ways that feel like play. It has been wonderful to see their excitement as they build, create and discover together, all while developing early literacy skills! Your support is truly making a difference for our students and we are so grateful for your commitment to helping them grow and develop a love of learning from the very start.

🦋 🦋2025-2026 Funded Grant: 🦋 🦋
A big shoutout to the Turkey Valley Education Foundation for their generous support! Thanks to their grant, our preschool classrooms received caterpillars and the school library was also able to share in the experience. The students got to watch the caterpillars grow and transform into butterflies, which made for such a fun, hands-on learning experience. We’re so grateful for this amazing opportunity!
