On January 9, 2027 we will celebrate Wildcats all evening. Wildcat alumni gather to reminisce and shine a light on past accomplishments that have paved the way for our Wildcats today. It is a fun filled evening.
This year we will induct Mr. Leon Schrader into the Hardee Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame. Leon came to Hardee County to become the Hardee Varsity Basketball Coach. He served in many roles over 19 years. As Athletic Director Leon Schrader implemented our girls sports programs at HHS after the passing of Title IX in Florida. He drove the team bus and supported the girls track and basketball teams from their humble beginnings in 1975.
Leon later served on the Hardee County School Board beginning in 1988. He and his wife Patty Jo owned Pals Pools. Their two daughters are Missy and Keri. Missy Schrader Albritton

We will also recognize the 1986 Hardee Wildcat Football Team. The team finished the regular season with a flawless 10-0 record under head coach Bob Martin. This iconic squad is celebrated in Wildcat history for achieving one of the most dominant campaigns and laid the foundation for the powerhouse culture of the Wildcat football program of the late 80’s and 90’s teams.
Sponsorships are available now.
$55 per seat or $550 per table sponsorship with sponsor signage.

The 2004 Wildcat Football Team and their coaches celebrated their 10-0 season along with the District title.
All their games were played on the road due to Hurricane damage to Wildcat Stadium. This is a special group and Hardee Athletic Foundation was pleased to honor them alongside a community member who was instrumental in the construction of Wildcat Stadium, Mr. Lawrence A. Roberts.
Great night to be a Wildcat!

The Lawrence A. Roberts Family is congratulated on his induction into the Hall of Fame. Mr. Roberts made enduring contributions that positively impacted our community. His daughter Kim Roberts accepted the award from Hardee Athletic Foundation’s president, Paul Samuels. Mr. Robert’s bio (condensed) is included.

Last evening offered another occasion for Hardee County to take pride, honoring the accomplishments of our predecessors. We pondered the rich legacy that has been passed down to us. Paying tribute to 2025 Hall of Fame Inductee Lawrence A. Roberts and the tough, perseverance of the 2004 Wildcat Football Team was particularly impressive. Our appreciation is extended to Photos by Hollie Hollie Blair for her stunning photographs of the 2025 Hall of Fame Dinner.
